The rookie middle linebacker from Alabama instead referred all questions to Raiders coach Tom Cable following a 38-31 loss to Jacksonville in which McClain missed his first NFL game with a left foot injury.
Cable had more questions than answers, saying the club would investigate McClain's condition further to remedy a situation that was first called "arthritis" then called "tendintis" but no apparently may be something else.
"McClain was feeling better today, but there's still some issue there that has got to be researched and we'll continue to do that," Cable said.
