12/14/2010 8:42:06 PM - Rookie quarterback Jimmy Clausen's confidence has certainly been higher.
Clausen's body language Sunday after the team's 31-10 loss to the Falcons reflected the angst of a kid who has yet to win a game as an NFL starting quarterback—he's 0-7 so far—and holds claim to the worst passer rating in the league.
To make matters worse, Clausen fielded a verbal jab after the game from star receiver Steve Smith, who suggested Clausen has "a lot to learn" and isn't "at Notre Dame anymore" after the rookie apologized to linebacker Jon Beason for his poor play rather than those in the offensive huddle.
"It's tough," Clausen said Monday looking back on the team's 12th loss of the season. (more...)
